The Volpe Report with John Chrin

In our continuing effort to bring to you the major party candidates for both Northeast Pennsylvania Congressional races, as well as the state-wide races, we are pleased to have in studio today John Chrin republican candidate for United States Congress in the 8th Congressional district. This means his opponent on November 6th will be 3 term Democratic incumbent Matt Cartwright.

Recently John and his wife Maria, purchased property in the 8th District of Pennsylvania although he had previously been living in New Jersey prior to the primary election in May.

John does have Pennsylvania roots however as he was born in Fountain Hill Pennsylvania and was raised in Easton. John graduated from Easton Area High School and became the first member of his family to attend college which was at Lehigh University. John helped pay his way thru Lehigh with loans and summer time and part-time jobs. He worked at Keystone Food Products in Easton and also worked at Roadway in Tannersville during which time he became a member of the Scranton Teamster Union.

John would go on to graduate with honors from Lehigh University with degrees in Economics and Industrial Engineering. He then went on to his post-graduate work to Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business where he earned a Master’s Degree or MBA in Business Administration, also with honors. It was at Lehigh University that he met his wife Maria, a native of Honduras. They have been married for 30 years and have 3 children. After graduation John took a job on Wall Street in Investing Banking and during his 21 year tenure would go on to become managing investor at J.P. Morgan Chase.

In 2009, John left wall street and returned to Lehigh to teach business ethics as well as Mergers and Acquisitions in the college of Business and Economics. After 3 years of teaching at Lehigh, John returned to the Business world and joined Circle Wealth Management, an investment advisory firm founded by his wife Maria. Maria, had a success 15 years at Goldman Sachs prior to launching C.W.M.
