(Scranton, PA) – Today, John Chrin’s campaign called on Matt Cartwright to join John in participating in congressional debates in each of the five counties of the 8th congressional district. The 8th congressional district is made up of Lackawanna, Pike, Wayne counties, and parts of Luzerne and Monroe counties. To date, only one congressional debate has been agreed by the candidates – in Luzerne County. That debate is sponsored by WVIA and will be held on October 29th. (Scranton, PA) – Last night, Matthew Cartwright voted against repealing the Obamacare medical device tax. This tax passes higher costs onto medical services which in turn are passed onto patients. You can see the vote here. The Tax Foundation found this tax was responsible for the loss of approximately 21,800 jobs from 2013 to 2015.
