(Scranton, PA) – John Chrin announced today that Mary Barket will manage his campaign to unseat incumbent Congressman Matt Cartwright in Pennsylvania’s new 8th Congressional District.

“Mary is one of Northeast Pennsylvania’s most respected grassroots organizers and a champion for our shared conservative principles.  I am grateful to have her leading our team. We are running a grassroots campaign that is focused on working-class families and the challenges they face every day,” Chrin stated.

A 1978 graduate of the University of Scranton and the daughter of parents from Dunmore and Olyphant, Barket has strong roots in Lackawanna County.  She owns a small business and is a member of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee. In 2016, Mary served as a Statewide Co-Chair of Women for Trump.

“As a small businesswoman, I value the business experience and commitment to economic prosperity that only John brings to this race.  It’s time for a change in Washington. Politicians like Matt Cartwright have had their chance. It’s time for a conservative outsider like John Chrin who can get things done for Northeast Pennsylvania,” Barket said.
