Another Positive Rating Change in PA-8 Race for Chrin

(Scranton, PA) – Today, John Chrin’s campaign for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 8th congressional district received another positive rating change as Sabato’s Crystal Ball announced a change in the race from Likely Democratic to Leans Democratic. Sabato’s Crystal Ball posted the rating change at the following link: here. A previous rating change from Inside Elections’ was announced on July 6th.

“My message of bringing more jobs and economic prosperity to Northeast Pennsylvania is moving the needle in this race. I stand for policies that will bring prosperity to Northeast Pennsylvania and to our country. My opponent stands for higher taxes, sanctuary cities, and more government intrusion into the everyday lives of Northeast Pennsylvanians.” said Chrin.

“The tax cuts coupled with the needed cuts to regulations are clearly working. Our economy is moving again. Hardworking families all across the 8th district are benefiting. And they are realizing the positions that my opponent has held for years, and still hold now, are bad for Northeast Pennsylvania and its future.”

The increased attention on the race indicates how competitive the race has become. It also signals the vulnerability of Matt Cartwright. John Chrin has continued to focus criticism on Cartwright’s long history and voting record of supporting sanctuary cities, his support of Obamcare which cut $700 Billion from Medicare, and Cartwright’s hypocrisy for failing to pay his taxes on a luxury Washington condo.

Outside groups such as the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) know the competitive nature of this race. The NRCC started airing ads attacking Matt Cartwright this week.

John Chrin is a 10th generation Pennsylvanian, political outsider, and successful business leader with over thirty years of experience in the private sector. He has created thousands of jobs over his career and will use this vast experience for the benefit of Northeast Pennsylvania.
